Summary: Over a thousand years ago the terrible Menthar Promellian war ended in mutual annihilation. What had been a rich regions of space with several habitable planets is now a desolate ruin of radiation and destroyed planets. Squeezed between Cardassian space and Ferengi space is Promellian space. It is inhabited by angry Cardassians, treacherous Ferengi, deadly Breen, infested with pirates, and haunted by booby traps a thousand years old, it is known as the Promellian Gap. It is here the Federation is expanding against Breen Aggression.
