Premiering on February 2nd, 2012, in weekly free write #61, the prompt was “Good impressions”. Lil Black Dog wanted to see a story about Hank and Bethany’s first meeting and, though it had been referenced many times, it had never been written. Well, this is where it finally got put onto digital paper.

Inspired by Weekly Free Write #103, the prompt was alien worlds and describing them. This story is about one world Bethany Reeves went on a field trip to when she was in high school and how she found what was so alien about it ...

Premiering on February 7th, 2013, in weekly free write #89, the prompt was “Second Chances”. This is a story about a second chance presenting itself to Hank while at the Academy and the way he goes about using that chance.

Premiering on August 2nd, 2011, in weekly free write #38, the prompt was a first line one. In this case it was “It had to be you” so I took the opportunity to tell this story about how Hank got kicked off his first ship. Told in 1st person present tense.

Premiering September 13th, 2011, in weekly free write #44, the prompt was “All you need is love” and this is what came of it.

Premiering on January 3rd, 2013, in weekly free write #89, the prompt was “Resolutions”. Hank and Bethany deal with a common problem around the holidays.

Premiering on October 1st, 2012, in weekly free write #81, the prompt was “Rituals”. So, I took this opportunity to write a ritual Hank and Bethany were meant to experience from the beginning.

Premiering on July 13th, 2011, in weekly free write # 35, the prompt was “Small Universe Syndrome.” Star Trek is particularly bad about bringing together characters that have nothing to do with one another for story purposes. With this in mind, the challenge was to do the same for a response to that week’s prompt … I could think of nothing better than this.

Premiering August 2nd, 2011, in weekly free write #39, the prompt was “You make me wanna scream”. In this case, I decided to take the prompt and make it into a verbal duel, not something I do often.

Premiering on November 22nd, 2011, in weekly free write #54, the prompt was “Motivations and Inspirations”. So, I took this time to tell the otherwise unknown story of why Hank actually got into Starfleet in the first place.

Premiering on May 6th, 2013, in weekly free write #92, the prompt was “Smackdown”. I took this opportunity to showcase Hank and Bethany in a light we don’t see often, one where they aren’t exactly getting along.

Premiering on January 15th, 2013, in weekly free write #88, the prompt was “Trek Tech” and how it impacted our characters lives. This story explores Sarah and how Trek Tech impacted her life, and the lives of others.

Premiering April 15th, 2013, in weekly free write #90, the prompt here was “Paint a Scene”. So, I went and painted this. The story introduced a new member of the Harrison clan (whom I just adored writing in his very first appearance), here's Hank and Bethany at a familiar place for them, but feeling very unfamiliar feelings.
