That a nice little bottle story.
We get to see a bit of the real Carmen and of Levi.
You do a good job as always of explaining their character reasons for the way they tackle things and why Levi tinkers when he shouldn't on key equipment. Still a nice solution to the message problem.
I did enjoy the throwaway line about the Vulcan engineer unit messing with Otra sound system.

I remember this WFW, it a wonderful humorous view on Otra and how her terrible two were affected by her special gift. This story has a wonderful character and it shines with your good humour. I do like the way you manage to establish her parent’s characters so quickly. The line “Little girls who do not go in the potty cannot go on the big shuttle.”

Well we get to see the TIC team clock off and down the Tethys Tavern and see the aftermath of the perfectionists attempts to change the master time file.
Admiral Carmen Calavicci trying to look after her ‘Children’ while not quite got it together herself. This is an interest retrospective of the Admiral thinking in the aftermath of feeling she fixed the damage done by her dropping the ball over her hiring Beauchaine. So even in Daniels better future the dark cancer of section 31 eats at the guardians of humanity and wash their hands so those with a conscious suffer a it more. I think it was a good move to bring Bryce in towards the end when everybody left. Had to laugh at those closing lines.
Still Deirdre and Kevin talking of their implanted communicators rather than their works mates, sad to sell the bad habits of the mobile phone generation will still be around in your 3110.
Another story of yours that I enjoyed reading you made a believable little slice of life away from the advantages for your heroes.
