I don't really understand the kiss, but I appreciate the emotional depth behind it. I was especially moved by this last conversation between McCoy and Spock.

God, that was beautiful. Spock's angst is so palpable, the strength of emotion you have woven into this story is wonderful. It makes my heart ache with Spock's.

Spock looked back at the last twenty years and realized that neither of them seemed to have really believed in that.

I *adored* this one, really! I love K/S angst and hurt/comfort... oooh and this was so bittersweet... poor, poor Spock, knowing that Kirk isn't dead but everyone else believes that he is. Oooh really, this was brilliant.
