While on a relief mission to a colony of the Norsai Republic, Rebecca Sullivan's shuttle is shot down, and she is taken prisoner by a Cardassian seeking to avenge a death in the family perpertrated by her former Maquis cell. Rebecca is soon rescued by soldiers of the Norsaian Liberation Front. But when she finds her saviors have not contacted the USS Lambda Paz, as they had claimed, she does some snooping around and learns of their plans to cause a major cataclysm that could claim many innocent lives.
Rebecca Sullivan must now enlist aid of her former Cardassian captor if either of them is to survive.

The Dominion War has entered its final stage. Despite the sudden addition of the Breen, their latest offensive has stalled due to the rebellion of Legate Damar, allowing the Dominion's enemies to reclaim some occupied territory.
In the fiercely contested Kalandra Sector, the Federation Alliance has attacked the Moreska shipyards, the last major shipbuilding facility in the sector. A garrison consisting of the reformed Sixth Division is completely cutoff from reinforcement.

This is a sequel to ‘The Last Full Measure,’ and is an AU retelling and follow-on to the events of the TOS episode ‘Errand of Mercy.’ This is the journey of those left behind – both physical and emotional. While the prologue will give one enough information to follow this story, it’s highly recommended that you read LFM first, to get the full effect and ramifications of the events in that story, which severely impact this story.
Season 2, Episode 11:
Earth is attacked. The Breen Confederacy, now in collusion with the Dominion, have a powerful weapon that could turn the war back in the Dominion's favor. The USS Lambda Paz is dispatched to Minos to harness a powerful weapon left behind by a long-dead civilization. But other forces seek to use this ancient weapon to advance their own goals.
In 2258 Romulan ship Narada attacked and destroyed Vulcan. It was a big blow to the Federation: they lost one of their founding members and many valuable people, who could not share their knowledge and ideas any more. The Federation’s expansion slowed down, too, because the Council did not want to risk losing any more lives. They became cautious.
The Romulans, on the other hand, became very bold and aggressive, believing that great future lay ahead of them. Their empire was expanding, taking and subjugating more and more planetary systems. In early 2330s their warships attacked the Cardassian Union, which resulted in a bloody, costly and terrible war. Cardassia, always poor in resources, managed to bravely fight and defend itself for over forty years, but in the end had to capitulate and sign a treaty, which forbade them from exploring and expanding in the general direction of the Romulan Star Empire. Cardassian interests moved to the other side of their empire, away from the Romulans, the Klingons and the Federation.
After the terrible war that had claimed billions of lives, the Cardassians promised themselves to never become to anyone what the Romulans were for them: butchers. One of their golden rules: to annex only uninhabited planets, regardless if the goal was colonisation or resources extraction.
It's 2395. The Cardassians heard about a newly discovered, stable wormhole. They want to know if there are any rich in resources planets on the other side and prepare an expedition.
