Millions of human lives were lost. One of those was Michael Nolan, a Xenobotanist in Beijing. He left a widow, Gina Righetti Nolan, who was expecting their first child.

Story Notes:
Jean-Luc Picard created a Round Robin about this event, and it inspired me to write about a pregnant widow, for this attack is a lot like 9/11 and there were several pregnant widows from that attack.
And then Gina just kind of took on a life of her own.
