heh...scarab shape, coming from around Cardassian space...I have my theories, but I'll wait till more comes to comment on them. Not a bad start, and helluva foreshadowing for Tasha there. *shudders* More, more!

So ... we've got a funky new ship and a region of space that is near, well, it's near the bad guys. And they're moving slowly, hence they might be new to faster than light travel. The Prime Directive seems to kinda apply, kind of not. They are a semi-equal partner for First Contact if they have warp drive, but their use of it (so far) implies that they aren't too far down that road yet. If they want more advanced tech without having to work for it, they'll be in for a surprise.
And what of the Cardassians? They aren't necessarily just hanging around and watching this unfold.
