This story continues to captivate! Keep it coming!

Great story. But I don't think i'll be reading it allthe way through again very soon! But I like, and I will be checking back for new episodes. I gotta say I never watch soap operas as a rule, but you've definitely got me hooked on this one!
Author's Response: Thanks Cowgirlcadet...love the name...take it in small doses, that's all I can say! LOL

Love your depiction of Kira! I take it your a big fan of that character?
Author's Response: Yes..and she's sexy too!!

Is there any more really emotive stuff (in general), if so in which chapters? I get the feeling you can read this story in any order you like and not miss too much... I'm a real sucker for emotive stuff...
Author's Response: Yes. All of it. To be honest LNX, my stories can only get by on the emotion. I'm not the full package like many others are. That's why i stick with as much character development as much as I can.

Love this! It's amazing but with this story I find myself not at all worrying about the craziness of the plot, or if the characters are in character. It's all driven by feelings and emotions, like something from a movie. You sort of make a character do something uncharacteristic of them in the past but then make them act their usual selves in the present.
It's like those great action movies, like Face Off or something.
Author's Response: Thanks LNX. And yes, I love finding new things in our favorite character's past to play with. I mean, Kasidy was a prostitute? Kira had a fling with a rock climber? Jennifer Sisko returns from the Borg Collective as a twisted obsessed whack job? Its all part of the fun for me because most of the time it just comes out of nowhere and I'll go "hmmmm...I like that!"

Hmm, I wonder why Kirk is wearing his old uniform? Why not the current one? Still it's a nice touch, and may I say this story moves at light speed which is great for just casually reading it...
Author's Response: Thanks LNX. Trust me, I have had messages telling me that the story is fluff. One person compared it to a daytime or nightime drama like "Dallas", and it wasn't meant as a compliment. But that's okay, because I understood what they meant, but hey...I liked "Dallas" years ago and sometimes fluff is good!

Awesome when K'alaf whipped out his disruptor and killed My'noQ! I think Klingons are the only race where the more melodramatic you make them the more awesome they become! I don't believe it is possible to overwrite a Klingon...
Date: 26 Jun 2012 01:14 Title: James T Kirk: TNG "Dynamic Duo"
The genie is out of the bottle now, and so the adventure begins. I like your writing style to; direct, emotive but flowing to propel the story forwards. You also have a flair for minimalism; packing a lot in very little, something I rather appreciate in authors.

Damn! You totally nailed Benjamin Sisko. Not only could I hear his voice in my head, I could see him speaking to! Wow! I also like how you point Kirk being spooked by 'Modern' Klingons. A dozen crackpot theories aside, I can see why he's disturbed by those beastly 'turtleheads'. Nice one, looking forward to the next chapter!
Date: 13 Jun 2012 02:49 Title: James T Kirk: TNG "Quarks"
I really like this story! It's a curious blend of canon elements, the universe used in DS9R books, and your own unique twist to things...
Author's Response: Thanks LNX. What I like about this story, and wow you are way back there at the start, was that I see all of TREK (all the shows and movies) as one big mosaic. I don't think Star Wars can even touch the wide range of characters and past storylines that we Trek Fan writers can draw upon for our stories.
As you will see, and others have asked me about it, I try to stay away from specific canon post-Nemesis becaues I can't tell what Star Trek books are canon or not. In fact, in this story, Ben Sisko is a very active character but I don't I ever go into how he ever came back; I just write as if he did and don't go into the specifics.

I really like this (especially you're little quirky notes and comments), and I barely know Kirk's character but you tell one intriguing story and continuity be damned! So he's a duplicate? No wonder the poor guy keeps a low profile, though perhaps travelling to DS9 might not be such a good idea...
Author's Response: Wouldn't it be great to just travel around the Star Trek universe on a whim?

I'll take your word and treat this as casual reading, but the chapters are short so it can't be that bad! Here goes!

Sweet, love the artwork & the story as well.
Date: 15 Feb 2012 21:24 Title: Star Trek: Shadow and Light "Man In The Black Hat"
Cassadine?! Is this a GH crossover now?
Author's Response: shhhh...lets keep this our secret..LOL...Just Kidding. I like that name, Cassadine, and what better name for a bad guy? You're lucky though; I almost named him Mikkos Cassadine! And wow, as I'm sure you know, Robert Scorpio is coming back to Port Chuck and he's going to reclaim his title of Police Commish and he's going to, at last, clean that crime up!!! I can't wait!

Wow that was awesome, the scenes with Donovan and T'av! That was a real pleasure to read (even in my sleep-deprived state), so thanks for suggesting it to me! Gonna read chapter 68 to find out just what kind of sick things T'av is forced to do!

Eek I need to do some back-reading but yay! Angie arrives!
Date: 08 Jun 2011 21:45 Title: James T Kirk: Simplicity "Order in the Court"
Quite a fascinating piece on the issue of holographic rights and quite a clever Star Trek-Boston Legal crossover. I take it this Mister Shore's first name is derived from Spader's character in the Stargate movie.
Author's Response: Yes indeed..I didn't think anyone would get the "Daniel" part of his name. Though they may not meet in this story, when Jim Kirk was using an alias his fake name was Robert Crane, and his "fake" brother was famous lawyer. I loving doing that kind of name dropping to see if the readers pick up on it. So thanks for picking up on it...

Giant mushrooms? That’s one aspect of Starfleet that never changed between the 23rd and 24th centuries
Author's Response: LOL..i hadn't thought of that...

A nice set-up to the narrative. I am especially interested why the general public can’t know he’s really James Kirk when he’s from the past and not the future My guess is that his alias is partially derived from Shatner’s character on Boston Legal.

Thanks Trekfan. I have been working on this for about four months and its looking good. I read up on post-Nemesis material and have put this about three years after Nemesis. Shatner never got around to, in his books, pairing Kirk with Sisko. I can't wait to do it here, and yes, Kirk from season two no less! Sisko's idol!
