I found this very interesting to read and engaging. Interesting that you took this story in the POV of a Romulan farmer. I could see through his eyes the small field he was harvesting with an old milling machine he’d rigged with his old engines. I could imagine a 203 old Romulan getting the same aches and pains a human would at 70 or 80 now. What I found even more interesting was the fact that there was a cloaked Starfleet vessel in the man’s old barn. How did it get there and why? I found myself asking these questions ask I was reading this. I find this story to be very enlightening so far. I really do hope you continue this. I would really like to know what happens next. So did the Romulan Scount ship destroy the Starfleet vessel? Or is it still there and the barn got destroyed? Either way, I want to see how Starfleet handles this. Thanks for sharing.

An interesting start. The elderly Romulan has some attitude about himself and certainly has no love for the Federation - and what should he find but a cloaked Romulan ship in his barn! Yipes! Intriguing to say the least.

Yay, Romulans! ;) Wow, and a three hundred two year old man? Yeesh, even for a Romulan, where late two hundreds is old, and almost the end of the line, that's ancient! And then the cloaked ship... what was Starfleet doing with that? Especially after the treaty, which prohibited the use of the cloaking device by the Federation. If the Empire caught wind of the ship, the Federation would have hell to pay...! I'm interested, and can't wait for more!
