A lunatic? Perhaps. But this ficlet also shows how different point of view the opposite side has. Chakotay is considered a rapist and while I'm sure it due to Seska's lies, this Kazon sees the commander as an evil person. Janeway is some kind of terrorist and her crew doesn't date opposing her. Kazon has beed fed with lies and propaganda, so now what he sees isn't the true picture. He thinks he scarifices himself for the good of his people by destroying a horrible enemy. How many people were misled to hate someone else? Seska herself comes from a race that terrorised its own people and being what she was, I have no doubt she took part in that oppression. She knows how to manipulate people, how to lie to them and how to make them do what she wants them to do--and they think they want that, too.

I see this Kazon a little as a victim here. He was brainwashed and used as a tool. And I wouldn't be surprised if no one remembered about his "sacrifice."

Thanks for reviewing it today, when its inspiration ten years ago was the original attack. But JFK said it so well : If someone is willing to trade their lives to end yours, its hard to stop them. As for Seska being a victim? I take a slightly different view of her in 'Created' and especially in 'Along The Way', though she does evoke some sympathy.
