Whoa. Well, they did not wait for the guests to leave. I am wondering if that one night will be enough, and sadly realize that Spock will pay a price for this. But he is alive.

Okay, he's made it this far. But yes, what shame to present himself in that condition. T'pavan tells him that what happens in the family stays in the family, but I don't know if this is the time to be calling him an "almost-brother". Spock's thoughts are not the least bit brotherly. I do hope those guests leave soon.

Yes, Spock, you need to shower. Well, somehow I am not surprised by this turn of events. In a previous chapter he had taken notice of the way her undergarments showed through the fabric of her dress. I suspected there was something more than friendship there.

A great job of describing pon farr's rigorous demands.

Hmm.  That was some touch. I am intrigued to know what it is about this woman that has Spock so "agitated".

Wow, this mysterious woman really has a hold over Spock. The suspense built as he slowly made his way through the beautiful countryside--so unlike arid Vulcan--into this female relative's presence. Last of all, the youthful figure of Spock created by T'pavan, and then T'pavan herself.

Your descriptions are captivating.

The plot thickens. So the Vulcans have colonized their sister planet. And many living there are freer with their emotions.

Great interplay here between our favorite three. I simply must see where all this is leading.

Terrific writing, as usual. Your Vulcan T'pavan is not without emotions, as some would believe. Particularly where her young daughter is involved. I am wondering what this humanized Klingon is up to, and how it will involve Spock. I simply must continue reading.

I like this a lot so far.  You do really well capturing the voices of the TOS crew, and the story is interesting.  Your writing is very good -- I love the way you describe physical actions, facial expressions and the setting.  I'll be watching to see what happens next!

This is an odd beginning...

Author's Response: Is it an odd beginning? Why? My interest is piqued!

This is a very interesting beginning. Why would someone kidnap T'Pavan's child? Why is there a Klingon disguised as a human, and what does he want with Spock? And will T'Pavan really go through with it? I'm very intriuged, and can't wait to read more! :)
