Loved the Xindi in ENT, so this was a pretty neat look at them in the "present" day. Very well done.

Simple. No one may die until they have killed five Cardassians.

Ho! Ho! I like the inspirational speech bit. Droll, very droll. And I do really like that. A chapter with lots of little bits going on and it gives a good overview of this resistance battle kicking off. Well done. Adding a few extra dimensions to the Vorta and tensions and suspicions between the Vorta and Cardassians mixes things up even greater. I like this chapter as is.

Author's Response: That order I believe was the Japanese standing order at Iwo Jima: "No one is allowed to die until they've killed five Americans!" Drawing a lot from history. If you hadn't noticed, the attack on the Council Building was my version of the VC attack on the US Embassy in Saigon, though the Reptilians accomplished a little more in their attack. With the Vorta and Cardassians, I feel that the tension and suspicions have already been done perfectly with Jeffrey Combs and Casey Biggs. I'm trying to have Tarska and Liska having a healthy working relationship; they respect each other and are both doing the best they can with the resources they have in the time they are given. Of course, I can't control how every single person interprets me work and I hadn't exactly thought of making them a bit suspicious of each other. ;) Looking forward to additional feedback later. :)

An intriguing story sure enough. I like the feel of the various Xindi species and a sense of interaction and differences between them still. Such a diversity should make for an interesting revolution/uprising against the Dominion. The resistance as an inspiring force as well as a force of action is also interesting. I like that we see it from the different perspectives - the combatants, the family angle and the overlords that are the Dominion. Good start. Look forwards to more. P.S. Welcome to the archives.
