I like the different format to this piece. Keeps things varied and spiced up. Adds to the format of the piece.

You are definitely hitting on all the big moments throughout Trek. A very neat concept and it will be interesting to see what other moments you decide to treat.

Ah, this is actually going to be a trip down memory lane of the great moments of DS9. Interesting.

Man, that is a raw deal for the Maquis. And the dismissal of those on VOY is probably based on the assumption it would be someone else's problem in long years to come - still would not have done if the Maquis members found out they were trying to make their way home to certain imprisonment.

I like that Jake is still continuing as a reporter and has sought out the contentious issues that remain post the Dominion War. But it seems the Federation is being very reactionist here but then I suppose they can't be too lenient either.

Ross seems awfully sure that it takes very little for the Cardassians to turn against the Dominion. I'm not sure if he already knew that Damar's rebellion was on the way, or not yet, but if he wasn't--Ross was gambling with his guessing. And since it was (especially unofficially), he plays with Damar's life and the success of Damar's plans. Not wise to talk about it all, because the Dominion, no doubt, listens carefully.

Now, Kira's words are not surprising at all, considering her resentment, even though they are cruel. I wonder how she would feel seeing that the Cardassian people got what they "deserved" (although I disagree that slaughtered by the Dominion civilians, including children, ever deserve that for their military's crimes).

That sounds harsh. Not only lack of compassion for slaughtered Maquis (it almost sounds like the officials hold them responsible for everything that happened, including Cardassia's alliance with the Dominion, which I'd rather blame the Klingons and their invasion of Cardassia for that), but also harsh treatment of the surviving once. While they should face some consequences for their attacks and unlawful actions, it could have been delivered by the president in a batter manner.

Very good. It certainly has the feel of a brief news story on an important event. I especially like the nod to Voyager, as they're the last colony of Maquis left. In addition, I thought the assumption that they are still "murderers, thieves, and assassins" to be particularly good; they don't have too much contact at this point, so they assume the worst naturally.
