Good one. Love the references to TNG and Voyager.

Author's Response:

Thanks! (A belated thanks for all your reviews as well)

A good explanation it is, too. Very entertaining, if a bit sad.

Author's Response:

Thanks. I felt for the crew of the Kantaran vessel, but there was no way I could reconcile the holo-tech being in such complete isolation. Someone at some point would have pursued it, maybe conquerors. They were at Data/EMH-level. If they'd even been emotionless or unstable, the 200-year gap could have been reconciled. But I'm glad it worked for you.

An interesting take on why the holo-tech didn't make it out into the galaxy. For a moment, I thought it was going to be that they were from the future or something or that the whole of Enterprise itself was a hologrpahoc program. Which the last episode could imply. ;)

Author's Response:

IIRC, the episode never mentioned any problem with the tech, or any reason why it couldn't be duplicated, and yet obviously it wasn't. This was the one piece of anachronism/counter-nuity I couldn't let go. Glad you enjoyed it.
