Oh, man! I get the felling that this is just why the NX-01 hasn't really been heard of in the other series. After the massive interstellar incident precipitated by the disgraced former Captain Jonathan Archer, th Kreetassan government went in cahoots with a little-known species known as the Xindi and built a large, rotating spherically-shaped weapon-liked, er, thingie.
