I enjoyed this story greatly. The reasoning beyond Tuvok's decision to join the Maquis made perfect sense and I'm not surprised that Chakotay accepted his candidature.

The post-Vulcan reality you have created also is quite interesting: how the Klingons fared, what the Romulans were like and how Nero's actions changed them. Clearly, the destruction of one Federation planet had a huge influence on the whole quadrant, not only the Federation. It didn't change the Cardassians and their ways, though.

I can't help but wonder, though, if Tuvok really joins the Maquis, or--like in the Prime Universe--he's been sent there as a spy.
