Oh I remember all that but I had thought somehow it was a biological son - but a stepson - that at least is feaible. Thanks for reminder. Wonder what else the EMH got up to during his three years?!

Author's Response: IIRC, the EMH was beamed down for a few minutes by Voyager's clock to check the situation. In fact, by his standards, he was gone for three years, married a woman and had a stepson in the meantime. He later asked the astronaut to check on the boy, who was likely dead by that point.

An intriguing response to an intriguing episode. Love the tie into the future and the connections made. But made into a religious icon! Ha! Bet the crew didn't see that coming! Goes to show the ramifications to Voyager's path in the Delta Quadrant - very TOSlike in that aspect. Nice exploration of the concept. Especially like the EMH as the revealed father - any way to explain the EMH's ability to reproduce?
