There we go. Very sinister and yet I smiled. It's similar to watching Hannibal Lecter-you want to hate him but something holds your attention...

ok. Maybe its me-but I don't get it. unless the last line was the pun/injoke.

Author's Response:

Obi-Wan spoke that to Anakin after a similar chase in 'Attack Of The Clones'. A gallows humor foreshadowing of Trip's fate.

I've read this-and it produces a lot of thought in a few sentences. Kudos.

OK, this one is an award-winner! I'd fix the line about "breaking techniques" as it doesn't read right-doesn't say outright what you're trying to say there, IMO. Otherwise, this is the best drabble I've read from you-hands down.

Is that Worf talking? Because it sounds like Deanna...

Author's Response:

Worf was the one given the order to arrest Ro. Not that he would ever berate Picard like that normally.

Oh, my.  That's quite the twist!  I really like it, actually.  I think that might have just become my personal canon.  Hehe.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I like writing 'opposite end' stories, having always been a fan of Bob Newhart's phone conversation humor. I wrote for Orion Press a TOS piece that showed what Spock dealt with when the Mirror crew beamed in, and if you know Buffy, what Oz's aunt told him about his *condition*. I'm glad this worked, and feel free to use it as you see fit. I consider it the ultimate honor.

Man, is there NO show on TV that you haven't watched? ;-)

Author's Response:

YES! That show would be : Pinky&TheBrain&Elmyra, an abomination that ended an era of great cartoons.

That sounds exactly like the sort of thing Keiko would do.  I can't say I take a very favorable view to her character, although this time her target thoroughly deserves it.  Which is NOT true of poor Miles!!!

Author's Response: Not by blood heritage, but Keiko is very much an Irish wife. Being Irish myself, I *get* their back-and-forth a bit more than some, and was pleased when her departure was not followed by a notice of tragedy or filings. As to Neela, I don't like either fanatics or deceivers.

Wow, that's actually a very interesting premise.  The question is, though, how does the Federation suppress the media while the killing spree goes on?  THAT part DOES sound potentially unconstitutional.

Author's Response: I would call it an agreement. The news reporting organizations can report on it, if they choose. No one will come down on them. But, at some point in the future, they all agreed that feeding these monsters' egos was a bad thing, and so, unless other factors entered into it, sought not to create new legends. I wrote this not long after the DC Sniper in 2002. It was the only barely-workable glory-sapping punishment I could think of.

I really liked this one, and as much as I find Neelix to be an annoying scab, in some ways the analogy fit.

Author's Response: I have this idea that Tuvok, when he needs to gird himself for emotionally challenging situations, uses a holo-Neelix to push his annoyance tolerance.

I didn't like that episode ending, either, and I didn't find it at all realistic. I like your ending much better!

Author's Response: Thanks. This is one of those eps, that, when I post against it, invariably pulls in the auto-defenders ('But It's Realistic!). Whatever the people chose, Alixius should never have been permitted to leave with a serene smile--by that I mean plot-wise, not someone attacking her. I outright despise the thought that they would even consider keeping the tech-killing device on-line.

Wow.  Interesting.  I hate the timecops in Trek, but it is fascinating to consider the power they wield and what they could have done with it ... and how they face that temptation.

Author's Response: If they were a bit more subtle, I could see their purpose. But consider how few of Janeway's time incursions were deliberate, and their attitude is puzzling. Notably, they seem to have mellowed a bit by Daniels' time on ENT.

I liked this one, too!  Very sweet with Adm. Paris, and nice nods to the potential problems some of the crew faced upon return ...

I laughed so hard at this.  I'm going to be saying, "Bad plan" about everything the rest of the evening and snickering to myself.  (Yes, I'm easily amused.)

Author's Response: Thanks. The writers rescued her, and to their credit, even got rid of the tusk on the one Klingon. But my assessment stands.
