Did seem a left field move to have a secret relationship between Number one and Cait Barry behind Pike back, but the lines where he sums up his revenge every time you come back to me I hurt Cait.
The power of allies in the MU and control others via your allies, is what makes a MU Captain a dangerous person. You did a good job of the mirror Pike showing his control over number one via his words and actions in unison.

We read this out loud and it was an entertaining piece. But more so, from a story perspective, the way Number One and Pike interact here clearly shows that the two of them are really there only for them. Even though Pike let's Kirk show his stuff here, it's clear who's in command.
I'm interested to see how Kirk manages to get the Enterprise later on, when Pike is in command.

Author's Response: It's part of a series, so it may make more sense in context? But yeah--I figure that the ISS Enterprise reflects her captain, and Pike is a VERY different captain than the Prime Mirror Universe's Kirk.

Racier content, you say? That piqued my interest even more. LOL.
Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with the occasional sex scene here and there. My own stories have depicted sexual partnerships (most recently, the kind seen on Grey's Anatomy or Private Practice) because I have to believe that Starfleet officers do have occasion to engage in "extra-curricular activities" with their fellow officers.
Well done, and looking forward to reading others like this one. Seeing these vivid details in the Trek universe was a bit of culture shock, but as I said in your fan art thread, I've seen just as risque in the Adult Swim forum on the Star Trek Photo-Manip Archive site.
Author's Response: I really wanted to explore Spock in this off-shoot Mirror Universe, and also show how Number One needs to come to terms with her choices (and lack of choices).

Author's Response: The Mirror Universe is VERY CREEPY, and I'm surprised that the CD series is eating my brain the way it is. I'm hoping to have more completed stories (as opposed to brief commentfic) soon.

Intense story; I like that she was strong without having slept her way to it, and that despite him being willing to sleep with Colt, what he seemed to have for her was respect, and genuine admiration. Nicely done.
Author's Response: It's not all wine and roses (the fact that he puts her in that position in the first place is pretty telling) but I'm enjoying taking the dynamic I've explored in other stories and twisting it Mirror Universe fashion. I think in time they may develop a mutually beneficial relationship, but right now, it's definitely not safe or healthy...
