That was touching. The struggles of a mother, who makes hard choices, who always wonders if the choices she had made were right. That was really interesting journey into her inner soul, her heart, to see how she cared about her husband, her son, her daughter, how she accepted who her children became.

I really enjoyed reading it.

Wow-a hard look at the life of a Starfleet officer, and a moving tale. Such sacrifices made for family, for her career, all to be relfected upon right at the end.

A great story. You've taken a character that was unjustly killed off and really expanded upon her in such a beautiful way. Bravo.

Wow. That is one awesome look back on Silvia LaForge's life. Not only do we get a briad canvas of her life choices and the way her career went, we also got her introspection about the family life, her relationship with Geordi and with Arianna. It gives a fascinating account of her trying to build a career as well as being a mother. A balance that is all too often heartbreaking, if it is her taking the job she doesn't want, or Geordi's father, or her being away from the children.

I've got to say, I love the approach to Geordi's condition, the how and why of it as well as the exploration of Geordi receiving his new VISOR and adapting to using it. That was very clever and very well done. I'd love a more fleshed out story/scene of that. But within the context of this story, it works really well. Great stuff.
