An interesting choice of the tense: present. I suppose it makes sense for a being like Q. I can't be sure, but I guess they are timeless, so everything could be "now" for them.
Q experiences a lot of emotions he hadn't know until now. They are related with having a fragile, mortal, human body: he realises he can be hurt, he can feel pain, he can die and at all scares him to such a point that even humiliation is a weaker emotion in those dreadful moments.
Lack of understanding from mortals, whom he had ridiculed in the past, doesn't help either, but in spite of his helplessness and panic, I don't feel any sympathy for him. Pity, perhaps, but no sympathy. I can't say he deserved that, but it's very tempting to say "Now you know how it is!"

I like, as exercises, getting into the minds of characters during bits of canon work, and this is definitely a good example of that.
You have a very good feel for Q and his thoughts.
