Wonderfully snark pepered with loads of fun. Arnold really is the the antithesis to a hippie and his personality not so much as clashes with Sevrin as with the whole of hippie culture! I love how the Arnold name becomes name becomes an insult in hippie circles. It really is so fitting! Good stuff.

...the ending of this story owned me. The snark throughout was brilliant, and the TOS fan in me squeed at the silly references to The Way to Eden. The Red Dwarf fan in me, of course, adored Arnie's internal monologue.
But the ending slayed me in ways I cannot even describe. Awesome.
Author's Response: Silly?! WE ARE ONE! /_\ But yes, The Way to Eden almost parodies itself already, so it's easy to pick out the silly bits. I don't feel that I have Arnie's internal monologue mastered quite yet. I think it should be a bit more scattered and the flow should be a bit different. The snark is the easy part.
As for that ending - I'm really, really glad you got it. It hit me after I plotted the fic and I knew I had to add it in. I'm not sure how many people will actually get it because it's so closely tied to the episode and it's not a popular episode, but I was really hoping that you would.
