Terrific Story. Love.

It's probably a good thing I've watched Get Smart, and was able to remember the voices! It wasn't easy for me to follow, but I struggle some reading script format, but it was definitely quite a jaunt and some of the lines were giggle-worthy. (And I noticed the callback to not being ready for a starring cybernetic creature.) Any which way, I gotta give it to you, you definitely go for broke with the brain bending stories!

That is a clever idea for a story, little ficlets for each of the major casts in a remix of TOS “Where No Man Has Gone Before,â€
I did like the Jack and Jean-Luc version of the face down with a wonderful put down line and a chilling last line.
Interesting Voyager choice a logical reason for Voyager to enter the Galactic Barrier and how Janeway’s Captain Log reflects her worry in that awkward position of a crewmember accelerated evolution.
I did enjoy the DS9 scene with Sisko picking up on the tombstone misspelling as he takes down Jadzia.
Then the Enterprise version with Archer trying to face down and reason with T’Pol but only to be knocked aside by Trip. The Xindi have been dealt with as an afterthought helps show it not TOS and that final line is as creep as a ship full of Vulcan Zombies.
Then your final twist with New History is surprising in keep with the mature choice of Kirk and both Spock’s and Uhura shock at Kirk reason for keeping the Enterprise out of the Barrier, all felt as right as the other mini ficlets.
I have to end my review summary with the same two words as your story “Good One.â€
Author's Response:
I may have been giving New-Kirk a bit too much credit, based on 'Into Darkness', but one can hope. I think I not only hit each era, but each major action point of WNMHGB. Of course, each one of these is dependent on Kirk and Mitchell's encounter never having happened in these 'worlds'. Thanks!

I choose to read this and faced blatant puns, dated humor, slapstick galore--AND--I loved it! Man that took me back to Saturday mornings and watching Smart in action. It always had the lame lines and groan inducing humour that even as a kid made me roll my eyes. This piece was very much in that vane and executed brilliantly. Especially at the start, you could see the Trek episode parallels and I just generally loved how you played it straight as Get Smart and yet it kept consistent and paradoied nicely Trek and Smart. Fab job.
Author's Response:
This all started from a dream I had. In it, I was watching 'What Are Little Girls Made Of?' and saw Max and 99 enter the caverns and ledges instead of Kirk and Chapel. The rest just went from there.

I imagine there really would be a whole lot more questions. Quite a premise and an enjoyable one at that. The opposite ends of Data and Lore dropped into the TOS setting where the trio often played different aspects of the human condition I am sure would have created quite a stir and a fair few linguistic gymnastics and philisophical debates - i.e. Spock, McCoy and Lore getting into heated debates (rows). As always, an imaginative and unusual take.
Author's Response:
Thanks. This one was fun to write as well.

This is an interesting take on the episode, The Ultimate Computer. Data and Lore embodied the concept of 'ultimate computer' better than probably anything else in Trekiverse did.
There's so much promise here, for what could potentially happen with those two in charge of Kirk's Enterprise, and at war with one another.
You've captured Daystrom's madness well, and the characterizations are well done. I imagine it is Lore that got Dr. Daystrom's brain waves. I hope you expand this at some point, as I would love to see a redux of the whole episode, and see what happens next once they are totally in charge of the ship, and how they shut Lore down.
Nice work!
Author's Response:
This is one of those where I felt I had a 'neat idea', but not something I wanted to pursue to a full story. As to who got what from Daystrom, I would say that Lore got all his cocky ambition, 'How can it be wrong when it's me?' attitude, while Data got the far humbler self we saw prostrated and begging M5 to stop the lethal wargames.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.

Funny. Especially the part about Spock's older brother Sybok who left home years ago. Uh-huh. Shouldn't have said that...
Author's Response:
This was always one of my faves to write (Hope this isn't a second response - I lost track)

Kirk and the Lone Ranger. Love!

It was fun how you combined the two roles! I never thought that Alexander might not be who he appeared, but that's a great way to end that episode, but making the one person we didn't suspect the true villain. Very creative! I enjoyed it.

Er, am, what? He he. It took me a moment to understand who those kids were, but their presence fits into that episode quite well LOL
That was quite funny :)
Author's Response:
Ranks, Raggy!

That was crazy awesome...wow, I mean, that Sisko part was KILLER (quite literally and figuratively-I LOLed with the "L not R" bit.) Nice work.
Author's Response:
Thanks. It was fun to write, the only challenge being how to break up so simple a plot as it was adapted.

Fascinating. I don't really understand it but fascinating, nevertheless.

The angel characters were from 'Highway To Heaven' and 'Touched By An Angel'. and Thanks!

ok, as a Golden Girls (closet) fan I'm cracking up royally!

Class. Witty and great parallel. And you know - it so easily could have happened ...
Author's Response:
I loved writing the part where Rebecca gets all Saavik trying to stop Diane, only to revert to character.

Bensoong! Ha. Great stuff - although I kept imagining our heroes wearing blue rinse curly wigs throughout that. Totally mad and bizarre. Great theme music fit and that is going to stay in my head all day now!!!
Author's Response:
Thanks! I keep meaning to actually write 'Bensoong'.
Date: 16 Jan 2010 12:05 Title: Tribble-ations And Trials
Hee hee. Kirk didn't count on becoming just as famous as he did. Love Sisko's reaction to the sight of Uhura and Kirk onboard the Defiant. Not to mention the realisation that strikes Kirk: We made the history files! Hee hee.
Author's Response:
I love inverting premises, but in this case, it had to be in a short piece. Their stealth wouldn't last very long.

Xfile, Quantum Leap etc. Very clever!
Author's Response:
Thanks!

OK, that one left me with a silly grin despite it being one of the more preposterous tales you've told.
Author's Response:
It was a stretch to get Colombo onboard. But the Mari were so stuck up they were almost TNG S1, and so no other TV detective would do for puncturing their pomposity.

Great line, had me chuckling aloud.

I think that was from an actual line Alf used about Earth in the pilot.

Thanks. While some think its overdone, I still love the MASH finale. Sometime this year, my AfterMASH/DS9 story should be ready. Keiko is the lead, and she finds herself in 1956 Missouri!

Rob, you are a sick puppy in need of serious mental help. Loved it-I could see the "show", tremendous job. Best parody you've done in a while.
Author's Response:
At first, I was afraid of making light of a rather grim subject--but since the show itself did that, I felt safe. Glad you enjoyed.
Date: 11 Jan 2010 21:29 Title: Good All Things
I laughed. That was pretty funny!
Author's Response:
Thanks! BTW, in case it wasn't obvious (apologies if it was ) the title wasn't merely a twisting of the ep title, but a ref to Jane Goodall.
