Yuck @ ending!!! Ouch!!! I love the idea of warp drive also "warps" officers! ;) I also hated Bob Wesley's anti-Vulcan attitude and enjoyed how Scott took care of Kerr. Hehe. Love the chapter!!!

As hard as this was for you to write, it's still very well-handled. You didn't go delving into angst or overblown descriptions; you handled the whole thing very matter-of-factly, but within diminishing the emotional impact. In fact, I'd actually venture that you increased it.

Loved Bob Wesley's appearance and the Leagourian's way of talking! I also very much enjoyed the argument between Kirk and Spock and how Bones tried to calm them down. Hehe. Aww. And OMG, the date theory! *grin* Whoa, and then Luca shows up... wtf is he up to? Oh my!

*grin* loved the Kirk/Uhura scene at the beginning... that was really sweet.
I really just want to strangle that Barns chick! Grrr. lol I also loved Spock's musings in his cell, and how he missed Kirk's presence. Awww. Wonderfully written!

Kirk/Spock, in TOS stories, have to be up there in front. For me they drive TOS, and you are doing a good job there as well. Keep it up!!! And keep that intrigue ever so ‘there’.

I adored Kirk's slight jealousy when it comes to that other captain. ;) And it's nice to hear about familiar faces from the show (Bob Wesley)! *grin* Loved the M-5 reference. I also enjoyed the fact that Kirk didn't want to stay with that woman because she was too much of a fangirl. Very mature IMO. Liked this a lot.
And - oh my!!! Assassination?! Spock would never do that! Whoa!!! Now that's a real mystery here!

Oh BLOODY Heck! Poor Spock. He's in a right pickle. Obviously, something very dubious going on but just what remains to be seen. There seems to be quite a mystery to the Legourians and I am intrigued to discover what lies beneath their hidden selves. Why hide away if there's nothing to hide?
As for the characterisation - of course sublime, tight writing. Loved the internal sights from Kirk. How he puzzles over his own train of thoughts, his jealousy about Spock and Scotty around this other captain [and what's the deal with him? hmm ...], his being unsure of his footing around Spock and their games of chess. You build a very intricate relationship dynamic between Kirk and Spock but the entire crew too, with Uhura and others commenting on Spock ad Scotty going shopping and as always putting the ship first.
