That was fun, like a light-hearted romp. You have the McCoy/Kirk thing down cold.I hope you will continue to explore the JJverse with these characters. I found myself smirking and smiling over the dialogue.

Leave it to Bones to (however inadvertantly) recreate part of the Kirk/Spock friendship from the original timeline. Before you pointed it out, it had never occured to me that both men had lost a parent due to Nero's obsession (and I've seen the movie 3 times, too).
It will be interesting to see how their friendship will develop in the new timeline, seeing as so many of the experiences from the original continuity that bonded the two men have yet to happen, and now may never happen at all.
A humerous yet slightly somber piece of character analysis here. Thanks for posting it!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it, but I have to say I am a little surprised you caught some somber overtones. I do think the two of them will eventually bond, becoming the friends they were meant to be--due to whatever experiences TPTB decide to give them.

That was funny and kinda sweet. I particularly liked the 'how you usually make friends' bit of the dialogue, quite hilarious. It's a miracle this guy isn't the 23d century Dale Carnegie, I'd say his methods are way more effective. :D
