This was great! I sat, amused, reading the thing through. God, there have been stories where I felt like the character was speaking to me. You expressed it in a delightful manner. Two thumbs way up.

That's terrific! It's nice that you have such a frustratingly rational character, all things considered. My discussions with my characters generally devolve into my telling Sandhurst to suck it up, telling Ramirez to dial it back, and telling Pava... well, telling Pava to put down the knife. ;)

LOL, I like that! A mental conversation with a Vulcan character is...something else!!!
My Cardassians can be quite chatty sometimes as well. The really weird cases, though, are when Berat decides to laugh at something that actually makes me self-conscious to admit to! Because I am his author, he is very unrestrained in his humor with me--and that includes some very self-deprecating humor that makes me blush to add into. And then he gives me puppy-dog eyes when I won't play along. Which just makes me blush more.

Author's Response: It takes a lot of work to get inside Sutek's head when I need something from him. If he doesn't want to play along, he'll clam up and makes me have to work harder. Then I have to back off and let him go about his business. And then there are the times he wants to talk, and it's at the most inopportune times for me. I need to get this boy a watch. ;)
