Well it’s always good to see more Enterprise era stories especially focusing on Porthos and T’Pol.
Archer’s reasons for entrusting T’Pol not Phlox with Porthos care don’t quite ring true for me, but then at times a lot of archers actions in cannon did seem a bit questionable.
I did like that you show T’Pol go through the logical places where Porthos might be and then when Phlox confirms he isn’t in sickbay leads nicely to the line “T’Pol found herself in the rare situation of having no idea what to do.”
Her turning to Commander Tucker seems in keeping with show cannon and so did they argument about how trip “Killed” the poor animal.
I’m surprise that T’Pol didn’t react more negatively to Trip Kiss or his grabbing of her hand since that seem to me the sort of physical contact that Vulcan’s and T’Pol in particular don’t like.
I’m surprise how easily Trip talked Phlox and T’Pol into helping him with his mad clone Porthos 2.0 scheme.
Again I did have to laugh at the whole world of mistake that T’Pol covers with the words “or else the resulting clone will not achieve your desired results,”
Though I’ve got to say that the T’Pol line “For your sake, I certainly hope so,” seemed a touch out of character and far too human for T’Pol.
The final Archer and Porthos Version 1.0 return is well handled along with the quiet panic when they think the Captain might find a dead Porthos upon his return to his cabin.
Still I do hope for all the conspirators shake that Porthos has being neutered or they will indeed not be a shortage of canines onboard the ship.
On the whole a solid story that was easy to read and enjoyable.

Ho, ho, ho, ho. Real belly chortles here with this. Very, very funny. And such an everyday story - the pet dog or goldfish dies and the babysitters or parents have to find a way to replace it before the kid gets home. Hee hee and in the best way in these stories there's a twist in the tail. A great story and very much in keeping with ENT.

OH WOW. That just had me ROLLING! I wasn't even the hugest ENT fan (though I certainly didn't hate it), but I could actually envision that happening. You nailed the characters' personalities--and each twist...I never saw any of it coming, and it just about killed me! :-D
