Savage. And very plausible.

Oh, wow, really, really interesting! I never would have pegged the identity of the spy to be who it was. However, I could see it as a natural outgrowth and development of that character under certain circumstances. I liked this very much!

The shocker is, of course, the spy's identity-yet it makes sense. I enjoyed the groveling admirals as well. They lent credence to the title of the story. Sometimes the harshest decisions are called for.

As disturbing as it is plausible... and a very well written argument for why it fell to Spock to try and stop the destruction of Romulus. The fact that the S31 operative ended up being Bashir was just the proverbial icing on the cake.

Nicely done!

Crikey! That was cold and calculating of the Federation cabal that decided the fate of the Romulan Empire. At the statrt I was almost surprised by Jellico's attitude but glad too that someone was standing up for the ideals of the Federation. Shocked that so many folded so easily on the issue and likewise Jellico too.

Nice crossover story with a nod to Spock and Nero crossing into another timeline and affecting things so grealty.

Also great to read here was just who our secret agent was. That was a nice twist and harking back to a passage from the DS9 series, in particular that episode, was a great touch and a bookend as such to this story too.

That's a very interesting insight into the heart of the Federation politics. Smooth combination of characters and series. Well done.:-)
