“You would be surprised. Humans have the uncanny ability to ignore reality, in order to avoid pain.”
Oh so true...
I agree with Mistral; this WAS a depressing read. And you say you were going in another direction? why? this was great...and not having a brother of my own, I have often wished i had...

Author's Response: Thanks, Rob. Well, I had initially planned to have Takovel solve the mystery of why the ships/crews were disappearing, like Torry said. But it ended up going another way, into what you read, but I was happy with how it turned out so I kept it. Glad you liked it! ;-)

What a horribly depressing story. Worse still, it didn't offer a reason why the child's tale was relived aboard the Neverland. I think it needed that.
Author's Response: Sigh, yeah. When I got the idea, I had meant to go in an entirely different direction, and had planned to have Takovel try and solve the mystery of why there where entire crews disappearing from ships, to go along with what Torry said. I liked this story-you have the right idea. I'm not sure if I liked the way you introduced your characters but they proved to be very interesting and your basic premise and the way the story developed by the end was great.
Author's Response: Thanks, Mistral! I was really uncertain if it was any good or not, considerring I wrote it so quickly. I'm glad you liked how it developed.

Glad to see you have something up over here! It's nice to see what has stemmed from the original BBS contest entry. Looks like your crew is having quite the adventure, courtesy of the brothers.
Author's Response: Thanks for the welcome, and I'm glad you read it! You write some really good work, so I hope to get some feedback. And Tarvess will bear and weild his grudge to the end. (Romulans don't give up!)
