Well, Sutek's got a sense of humor... who knew? I'm not surprised Sydney's got other CO's looking out for her welfare, which is probably one of the reasons Sutek took an interest in her in the first place.

Oh my, I wasn't expecting Spillane to sass Sutek that way! That really gave me a laugh! :-)
Was Spillane also a protege of Sutek, by any chance?
Author's Response: She's pretty sassy to anybody when it comes to her crew. She's not completely sold on the idea of Sydney going to the Penn, but she relented. (You'll see why in a future story.)
No, she's not a former protege. I'd say more, but that would spoil the story!
