A long chapter here but one that flows really well as we continue the adventures of every day Vulcan life. Although, maybe this episode is not so routine.

Lots of interesting stuff here as well as a little vulcan humor: "With the exception of Starfleet officers, who will meld with anything that they even suspect might have a consciousness ten minutes after meeting it, and then are surprised when they are diagnosed with three different neurological diseases before they reach the end of their first century."
The mental construct remonds me strongly of the memory palace used by mentalists to remember large numbers of random facts quickly.

Very logically constructed deep dive into the mind-meld and telepathy in general. Lots of great details, both about vulcan culture and telepathic combat/subterfuge.
