I have to concur with trekfan. This is a glorious story that attempts to delve somewhat into the being that is Guinan and her strained relationship/connection to Q.

To see the connection for what it is in part, his warning and act of revenge on her by offer of assistance that she'd refuse, is shocking indeed. Q with his infinte powers is someone I imagined capable of great evils, or certainly acts of great cruely. But to see what he did here is still a little breathtaking. His act of revenge on Guinan to guilt her for eternity, or at least her very long life, is somehting else but 'worthy' of a character such as Q and as powerful and all time as Him. I think the act is fitting and likely of such an individual.

The Q and the El Aurians are difficult species to get a handle on, considering the level of existence and the little canon material in regards to their abilities and weaknesses and the peoples' shared histories - or certainly Q and Guinan's. The fact you tackle it so head on and effectively and with such a glorious scope of a tale is a testament to your skill and imagination.

Really well done to you for writing such a story as it serves as a great read, and overall your exploration of Q and Guinan  are fascinating.

Wow. This was a great story, delving into the core of such a mysterious character in TNG. It explains the hatred between these two beings.

I love it. Great work.
