This seems a somewhat more florid style than the previous chapter, making it considerably more effort to decode. Still lots of good word painting, but a bit more impressionist.

Interesting that a doctor is concerned about a vulcan endangered by a violent human.

I'm assuming Section refers to Section 31 - I'm a huge fan of Section 31 stories...

Thanks!! rbs

Superb word-painting in the beginning paragraphs. Conveying character through appearance and action - reminiscent of Stephen King's method. I can easily see Zachary Quinto's slightly oily version of Spock in this description. I can also easily envision Peter Weller's menacing presence both in action and word from their interaction. Nice TOS reference to Tarsus IV.

Really excellent descriptive writing and something there for the hardcore Trek fans as well.

Thanks!! rbs

An interesting take on Kirk, but I can easily hear Chris Pine saying these lines.

What happened to the previous story I was reading? It seems to have vanished from my viewscreen.

I did notice one thing - it seemed odd that a corridor would be loaming unless it was composed of a mixture of clay, sand and silt.

Thanks!! rbs
