I was listening to the B side of YES - 1977 - Going for the One, which went down nicely with this story. (Wondrous Stories, Awaken)

An odd blend of STNG with wiccan / Gaia fantasy. Not your usual trek fare and in some ways closer to the original series in theme than to STNG. 

The music I was listening to at the time was a fortunate coincidence - those two songs in particular go quite well with the mood of this story - whimsical.
