A really great story this one, as usual. Very much enjoyed the change of perspective and the showing the Vulcan mothers are just as caring and concerned about their offspring as those of other races.
The final sentiment here is also well presented. Very succinct but undeniable. The torch has been passed with mother's blessing.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on my fic and all of the kind words. :D

Another great installment here. With Veral finally showing up (and I believe you explored his reasons behind his hesitancy) in other stories, T'Lyra finally get the chance to tend to the parts of her life she has clearly neglected.
The healing begins for both daughter and mother.
Author's Response: Thank you! :)

Talk about starting things off with an attention grabber. Great, disturbing and hilarious first line, all it one.
Really good to see T'Lin beginning to recover here. Of course the focus remains on her mother and it be very interesting to see what kind of psychological impact all this hardship will leave on her, even after T'Lin has recovered physically.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the feedback! :)

So, the long recovery begins. The perspective from the mostly helpless parent remains intriguing, especially as she struggls to contain the emotional toll of dealing with T'Lin and trying to balance the rest of her family at the same time.
Author's Response: Thank you! :)

This chapter was inevitable of course and I've dreaded it a bit. Pure anguish, even for a Vulcan mother to see her daughter in this manner.
Really well written as usual.
Author's Response: Thank you! It was hard to write (I have a serious squick for medical stuff, which is ironic considering I decided to center a series around a doctor), but I didn't want to shy away from what the entire family went through. (One of the things I really try to focus on with this series is how trauma ripples out and affects everyone.)

Really interesting to see a mature Vulcan woman like T'Lyra struggle to maintain her emotional distance when it comes to the well-being of her daughter.
Although one might read into this that this is a gender issue, i.e. female Vulcans are more emotional than their male counterparts, I don't think that's what's going on here since the likes of T'Yri and T'Kara seem to be doing far at controlling their emotions.
Really appreciate this exploration of T'Lin's history.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! :) Definitely did not intend it to be gender issue, just that T'Lyra personally isn't the most controlled Vulcan in the galaxy. ;)

Enjoying this shift of perspective from T'Lin to T'Lyra for this tale, giving us the opportunity to see our favorite Vulcan heroine from a different perspective.
Also, break-ups are though. In every culture.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! :)

Somehow missed this story. Nice piece of foreshadowing here, although, I know what's coming next. Sadly.
Author's Response: Thank you!

One of the best fan fictions I have ever read. Thank you for a superb in-depth view of one of our favorite alien cultures.
Nice visuals, strong character expository and development - and good writing that packs an emotional punch.
I'm also a fan of the bite-size scenes. It's always nice to see a writer who appreciates the value of keeping story to no more than 2-3 screens (1 as often as possible) before a click to the next installment. I can't say that enough - whenever I click on a story and see that it scrolls down 20 pages on a single click, it's a big disincentive to keep reading.
Thanks!! rbs
