I love this point of view, and as you know, I love these "after the episode ends" kinds of stories. I appreciated how protective Spock was of Jim, and how honest McCoy was in describing what Spock said to him--both of those things were very true to character and well written. Thank you for writing this! I love having new LBD stories to read!

Author's Response: I have to thank kes7 for planting the seed of the idea for this story. I'm hoping this will be the first story that gets me back into writing on a regular basis. As you know, this is my favorite thing to write - I love exploring those things the series didn't, or couldn't for whatever reason. I'm kinda hoping you'll get back into the swing of things as well - I miss reading your stories. I'm glad this resonated, and that I got the characters actions and voices right - I was afraid I'd gotten rusty...
