I love how concise and to the point that second entry is. It's a life changing moment, but he's like, "So, yeah, I figured out my life."

Again, I like how 'in character' it is for a written entry. It is also all the more especially affecting to 'hear' Spock speak these words because as official entries he would have mulled and picked over his words with the greatest of care and deliberation.

Personal hate of one half is not very healthy - efforts to purge one half? Also not so healthy. I'm glad he failed, and realized where his true calling was.
