I like. I like very much.

Very sweet ending. I liked this series, it was like a nice visit with old friends. Great debut here at Ad Astra.

awww
that was quite extraordinary, very uplifting throughout the ficlets and whilst there was an expectation that Spock's -let's not call it kindness since he may not appreciate that term- but Spock's thoughtfulness and attention to detail would be repaid in kind. I love how the crew do indeed return the kindness, but the real surprise is how they collude together and do so to great effect and in something so very, very Vulcan. Wonderful. Heart-warming. Lovely. Thank you for the ficlets and it has been a joy discovering your writing through the Ficlet challenge Zilley.

Aw, lovely, and particularly how, after 6 chapters of him essentially meeting them on human terms, they meet him on Vulcan ones. Well done.

Oh, nice callback (forward?) to The Voyage Home! I've always wondered why Spock was so adamant that they not do pizza as they were riding back and now we know. Really fun story, absolutely enjoyed it.

Aww. A deep exchange between two men with varied interests.
Date: 23 May 2015 16:17 Title: Chekov
HA, nice use of Chekov and Spock's mututal love of computers. A cute tale.
Date: 23 May 2015 13:13 Title: Kirk
LOL! Poor Spock. As if he didn't have enough tribulations to contend with, he doesn't like Italian. Bless. Wonderful scene and again, I'm impressed by how much you fit into 500 words.
Date: 23 May 2015 13:11 Title: Sulu
Awesome.
Just loved this. The nature of Spock's conflicted nature and his own 'cross-breeding' and the clear subtext to it all and how deftly Sulu manages it. Works wonderfully and I really liked this a lot. A WHOLE lot.

Ah. This must be set before "The Voyage Home." Nice tie-in to that film.
I loved McCoy's line about the Octellian river turtle.
Date: 22 May 2015 18:52 Title: Sulu
This was VERY nicely done. Obviously the rose is a metaphor for Spock himself, and a very good one. The dialogue between the two men was true to form, for the most part. Sulu, in particular, I liked.
Date: 22 May 2015 15:12 Title: Kirk
Poor Spock. I have a friend with an excellent "Vulcan" pizza recipe that he might try sometime. And actually like.
Date: 22 May 2015 15:09 Title: Sulu
I love this, particularly since the Amanda of my own stories is a gardener. As ever, your Spock is both thoughtful and considerate of others' feelings, however illogical he might claim to find them. And I am glad that Sulu reassured Spock about the advantages of crossbreeding.
Date: 22 May 2015 15:02 Title: Chekov
What a thoughtful gift!
Date: 22 May 2015 12:35 Title: Kirk
Too much oregano!
Please make oregano bring on some odd Vulcan malady. :)
Date: 21 May 2015 23:19 Title: Chekov
That was awesome. Really it was. AND yes, I can buy Spock as the best present giver ever. (which all makes me meta think about Big Bang Theory and Leonard Nimoy napkins). Brilliant and everything Chekov is adorable and fitting. The coder and prankster and game loving guy.
Date: 21 May 2015 12:23 Title: Chekov
"Pavel Chekov loved computers (they were, after all, invented in Russia)."
Okay, that made me laugh out loud.
As for the rest, it's a very sweet notion.
Date: 21 May 2015 12:22 Title: Chekov
It IS the perfect gift!
Funny that you should write Spock as (in a way) a perfect gift giver. I write a fairly controlled human character, Malcolm Reed, as having a similar talent. It's born from close observation, as I imagine Spock's gift was.
Well done, and extremely thoughtful.
PS The formatting is fine.

I've been reading through these little vignettes and enjoying them. You have a good handle on the characters and have put them in interesting situations that display their special friendship. Well written. I'm looking forward to more.
Date: 20 May 2015 18:04 Title: McCoy
LOL! Awesome. Loved this.
Date: 20 May 2015 16:05 Title: McCoy
Love that ending, put a smile on my face. Again a great handle on the characters, nice to see McCoy holding back on the quips when his friend is not on top form. Great work with these, really!
Date: 20 May 2015 04:38 Title: McCoy
Continued good work. Nice to see McCoy helping Spock out.
Date: 19 May 2015 22:05 Title: McCoy
HA! McCoy takes Spock to a planet to sunbath. Now, there's an episode that we should have seen. Well done and fun.
Date: 19 May 2015 22:03 Title: Uhura
Ah, Spock, you sly dog. You play piano, too! I totally agreed with Uhura's reaction here, and McCoy's subtle thanking (and continued jab) at Spock. You got a good grasp of the TOS crew and it shows.
Date: 19 May 2015 14:16 Title: McCoy
I love that McCoy kind of one-upped him here. But I do confess I saw the planet's name and thought of the word tsuris. The Google definition, I might add, is kind of tame. I recall a far earthier definition.
But! Back to Spock and friends. He may not want to admit it, but they all really care for him. And he does right back. They are important to him in a way that he often seems to deny but they are important all the same.
