Aww man. On so many levels this is just awesome. It is the ease and familiarity of old faces and characters one is comfortable with reading. I like the easy flow of interactions, be they interactions or stolen looks at others and their reactions. There's a richness to the relationships that is exploited but not over cooked. Likewise, there's that great magical trick of writing the fascinating and surprising aspects of Spock for reader and the characters in the story that feel right, not forced, not for the sake of it, and without falling into trope territory. Instead, this feels very alive, very vibrant and although TOS feels fresh and new and as though it could in different directions. Fab job. Leaves me with a smile upon my face.

This is great stuff, very simple character notes that build up to a great portait of this crew. I like how you manage to make Spock both the formal, emotionally controlled Vulcan we all know, but who is also allowing himself to relax slightly with small, though meaningful gestures. Great job.

First of all, welcome back to fiction writing. If this is anything to go by, we've all missed out for those ten years! A really nice little scene, you captured both Scotty and Spock's characters perfectly. And I love the fact that Spock wants to make something special for McCoy! BFFs indeed! :) Look forward to the follow on.

This is just lovely. You have the voices of the crew down pat, and the little nuances of their interactions are heartwarming to read. It's like being on the Enterprise.

I really love the way you build on that subtle flirtation we saw from Uhura during the series. NuUhura is a force to be reckoned with, but Prime Universe Uhura is all that and a lady, too. She is so composed, so dignified, so elegant. Spock seems comfortable with her here.  I wonder if their relationship could grow to be more.

Oh, sweet - and very, very TOS.

Yeah, now that's some love there. You captured that unique vibe between Scotty and Spock beautifully, really liked the pacing and the little touches of character. I have a lot of questions, but I'll hold off on them until the next part. Nice job. :)

Oh, I like this!  I love your comparisons and parallels between Scott and Spock -- things I never really dwelt on, but they do make sense.  And it's always nice to see that glimmer of humanity beneath Spock's hard-fought Vulcan exterior.

We'll see what comes of Spock's idea, I guess!

Awww. he's going to make hooch for McCoy. Awesome. This is a fantastic introudction to your writing Zilley and a wondrous return to the TOS fold for me. So many little spot on lines there - Spock and Scotty having the longest relationship and yet complex given how much they have in common and how much they don't. Also, thumbs up for why Vulcan was known as a dry planet. Awesome. Loved it. Fantastic. Looking forward to more.

AH! I love it! Spock putting his hand to making booze; what an awesome thought. The writing was perfectly good and the interaction was lovely. Great first entry, and I'm looking forward to the next!

Oh, excellent! Your first story! Your first review! W00t!

Careful of the balloon drop.

Anyways - good capture of both well-known characters, and an interesting premise!

Now, you also need to add your story to the Challenge. Go to Challenge, select TTOT15 (I think it's called that, but it should be pretty clear), click on Answer the Challenge, select your story and hit OK and you're done.

Welcome; this is quite the auspicious beginning. :)
