Sweet family scene. I always did ship Jean Luc and Beverly, and while it's a bit surprising to see them taking on family life this late in their lives/careers (unless this is an AU), I could imagine them as very tender parents. At first, I giggled a bit at the mental image of Picard trying to pacify tyrannical babies with his flute, but then I realized they were already asleep (I think?) and thought he was living quite dangerously ... the last thing you do when twins are sleeping is make a sound!
I will say there are quite a few word tense, homonym errors and formatting issues in this piece, and not everything was as clear as it could have been (see: my not being sure whether he serenaded the babies to sleep, or afterward).
Aside from that, it was a well-drawn, heartwarming little scene.
