Well, Enterprise has often served as the inspiration for later events and procedures. Here we get a glimpse of the birth of the five-year mission. Interesting. I would have guessed that somebody back at Command would have come up with the concept, but why not have it be something suggested by a 'lowly' ensign nobody has ever heard before?

Yeah, there is real friendship between these two characters now which I think is a plausible development for their relationship after the events late in Enterprise's last season.

Looks like T'Pol is not above playing little games with Tucker. Not very Vulcan of her. But a sign of genuine fondness, which I thought was a nice touch.

I'm not generally a big fan of reading fan fiction of canon characters and series but the bite-sized chapters here made this a good read during down time at work. And I actually got into this. Quite enjoyed the character interactions here, especially between T'Pol and Tucker.
