Excellent for you write it from the Enterprise POV. Yes the crew is her family. Good story

When I started reading this, I thought it might be Spock, I realized "OMG! It's ENTERPRISE herself that's talking!" Awesome.
Author's Response:
::winks, nods:: Yes, I was couting on that. ;-) Thanks for reading and reviewing.

As I read the end I was reminded of doing something similar for a weekly prompt ages ago and yet here...it's better. Your writing far outweighs mine and here you show as we all know, the Enterprise as something more than nuts and bolts.
(I being I would be tempted to throw in at the end, "No you Klingon bastard, no one's getting out of there...") :)
I do but applaud.
A fighting chance to live.
Author's Response:
::embarrassed blush:: Gosh, didn't remember that you'd done a WFW along those lines. I didn't steal your idea, honest, but I do love that last line you would have added. Wish I'd thought of it. ;-)

I love ship-as-sentient stories. Did you ever watch Farscape? This scene makes me think of Moya.
Nope. Never seen it, but given recent developments I should have loads of time to check it out. ;-)

So nicely done LBD.
The Enterprise has a soul and it final thoughts are so spot on for that great lady.
Top Job.
Author's Response:
Thanks, FB. For me, she is just as important as any other member of the crew, so her 'death' in SFS was very heart-wrenching to watch.

And so dear Enterprise spirals planetward to her destruction as her comrades observe the scene with deep sorrow. But her death brings them a fighting chance for life.
Well written. She is indeed a member of their family.
Author's Response:
::grins, nods:: You so 'got' this. :D

Curious - I am guessing this is either a reference to ST1 or ST4. Either way, mysterious, moody, and weird. Well done.
Author's Response:
Hmm. And here I was thinking I made it too easy...Mac will get it...
