It is heartening that Will and Deanna have such a strong relationship that it has even weathered her birthing anger. And Will even shared a pain or two.

I'm glad to see that Susan is a healthy baby (with a great head of hair)! And now I know what is in Ian's box. His blanket! I am sure it was as special to him as my children's blankies were to them.

I like this interchange between Will and Deanna, but it left me wondering what is inside Ian's little box from the closet. It also left me wondering about Ian himself. Was he also Will's son? From back before he married her? And now another child is on the way, and this time Will is able to be with Deanna. Really, she should not be putting all the blame on him as she goes into labor. Wasn't she a willing participant in the procreative activity? Come on, Deanna, let's be fair...

Author's Response:

Ah. Thanks M C. Yes I know Deanna was a little harsh towards Will, but I suppose I can tone that down a little. She's still trying to deal with the loss of her son, even so many years later. With the baby coming, she's just stressed out. Thanks for a kind review.

On another site I've posted this same fanfiction, instead of a person posting a review, they use it to be nasty. They don't leave a review, they just say mean stuff about me.

I loved the fact that Riker enjoys "nesting" his clothes. It shows the human side of one of our favorite "Number One" (Majal Barrett was Number One in the TOS pilot who of course played Troi's mother).

It's really cool how one small box of momentos can bring such emotion, as it does here; this is a really a neat story.

Personally I think it should be a 2 parter at least if not more.

Author's Response:

First off, thanks for the kind words. I'm currently working on chapter 2. It should be up shortly.

Thanks again for the kind words.
