I really enjoyed this story, as it has a lot of the same themes that I like to explore. I love the conflict that is caused when two people of different races and backgrounds come together. I'm glad that everything seemed to work out in the end, and that fears and biases were overcome. Beautiful piece :-)

Author's Response:

Thanks for the kind comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and the way issues were resolved between the characters.

A bit of a whirlwind relationship but I glad Dana got over her Vulcan shyness and that Father found the logic answer to an unexpected roadblock.
Well done a solid tale.

Author's Response:

Thanks. Yes, Simon and Dane fell in love quickly. And Spock to the rescue with his logical suggestions.

As always your alternative Spock and his family provide an entertaining read.
A nice first chapter about Simon falling in love with Dana.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for the read and kind words. It's good to know that someone likes a story.

They're a lovely group - but I'm with Dane - I can't see Simon as being so committed to this faith. It seems like Spock's dream for him to be a priest, and not Simon's.

Author's Response:

Thanks for your remarks! A read of "A Greater Good" would give more background into Simon's dedication to the priesthood. From the beginning, it was Simon who fought hard to convince others, including his father, that he was meant to be a Yanashite priest.
