Well, this Colton certainly is one black-hearted bastard. Still, one has to admire the diabolical style at work here. One’s revenge is a dish best served cold… and there’s not much colder than making someone’s loved one your delivery system for a bomb.

Author's Response: Yeah, he's not the sort of person you'd want to get on the wrong side of, and Kayden Rychel's brother Desan was the one who had initially gotten him arrested. Now you see why Desan was so concerned for her safety :-D

Wow. Damn. Fetal abduction... a new low in the fabric of the universe's tapestry of evil. I almost with Emmarie had remained in her feral, animal woman state. At least then she'd have been somewhat shielded from the horrific truth of what's been done to her, and what's been taken from her.

And who the frell names a doctor Frell? ;-) Sounds vaguely Denobulan...

A wicked beginning, and once again, you've got me hooked!

Author's Response: Somewhat fortunately, Emmarie hasn't had an easy life, so she's used to handling strife. Unfortunately, that doesn't REALLY prepare her for the full horror of something like this.. though I don't think anything really can. The doctor was named Frell because I couldn't think of a good name, LOL. Glad to know you enjoyed this, thanks as always for reading!

This guy is taking sibling rivalry to a whole new level. I don't know what his brother has ever done to him, but there is no way it justifies this. In fact, it takes a special form of evil to steal somebody's child in such a way and turn the mother into a walking bomb. The man's a psychopath.

Makes for a hell of a sadistic story though.

That's indeed an interesting look at what a mental breakdown for an Orion animal woman would look like. I assume mental breakdowns are different for most people, even within the same species, but this display here made a lot of sense considering this extremely cruel ordeal she went through. The confusion and the pain are palpable.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading :-D I definitely agree that different people will take bad things in a different manner, but I thought that without her discipline she would sort of regress a bit into a more "typical" Orion.
