Interesting that you did this, Jes. Thinking of the QL jokes in ENT screencaps on STL.

Thanks for reading.

I must admit crossovers are nit my cup of tea, however this one works brilliantly. It would have made a cool episode of Enterprise or Quantam Leap. And I'll bet Scott Bakula would have had fun with it.
The best thing here is the characters. You handled Beckett's Leaping and handling a new, bizarre situation well. I also enjoyed seeing T'Pol in command while Archer is there but he isn't.
Well done all around.
Author's Response:
Oh, thank you so much! I always kind of wondered how he would feel, and how he would react, without guidance. I supposed he would make up his own rules and go from there.

Wow, what a fantastic idea. When you read the pitch, it suddenly makes sense and I could not believe nobody has thought of writing something like this before.
You did a great job updating the Quantum Leap world, taking the ending of the series in a completely unexpected but eminently logical directon - I love the idea of Sam being moved on to a wider world, a larger canvas, and would love to read some of those other adventures.
He fits in well with the Star Trek world, his reaction to the sight of Phlox providing a humerous but realistic way of bringing him into this world as himself, and I really enjoyed the little letter that he received from Archer (I pictured the end of Back to the Future 2 where Marty receives the Old West letter from Doc... ) I liked the way he included Lili and Jenny into the conversation at the end, as well.
Very interesting indeed! Great stuff. Look forward to reading more.

Oh, thank you so much! I will probably get crackin' one of these days and write more Sam. I really think they would have pulled him around to all sorts of wacky places. The Roman Colosseum? Why the hell not? :) I am a big fan of QL and the first fan fic I ever wrote was QL, in maybe (a guess) '98? It's long gone, lost to the dustbin of computer changes.
The letter is definitely inspired by the old west letter in BTTF2, although Sam and Al really do this in The Leap Back. That episode in particular was an inspiration for this storyline.
Thank you for reading.
