This is a clever rendering of the Clementine song. I laughed out loud in places.

One suggestion I might make is to go in and fix all of the strange symbols that surround some of your words. I suspect that happened because of the word processing program you are using, and how it talks to the program on this site, but it does make the poem a bit hard to read.

I like that Enterprise took the place of the girl in the song--after all, she was Kirk's only true love, though I think Edith came very close to having that designation and would've had it had she not had to be sacrificed.

I like that the poem points to Kirk's friendship with Spock. Personally, I would have liked to have seen it mention McCoy as well. Their relationship was different than the one the captain shared with his first officer, but it was every bit as important, and I think Kirk loved McCoy every bit as much as he did Spock--though not necessarily in a romantic way for either of them, but that's just my read.

You did a good job of portraying Kirk's feelings for his ship. The poem is clever and entertaining. Well done.
