I liked this glimpse into Commander Riker's mind as he faced the total destruction of the Enterprise and imminent death. And all because of "an antiquated Klingon Bird-of-Prey commanded by the losers of the Klingon Empire's latest game of thrones". Nice line.
And then his eyes opened. And there was light. His first thought was, "I'm alive". And then the hope of command. He is indeed a Starfleet officer, through and through.

Neat to see a Riker POV on this scene. The last line was the most effective and telling to be honest as it spoke to Riker's person and his hopes and what he said at the end of the film.
