What a cool idea, and perfectly executed. I didn't see that reveal coming at all, but once I did the references to the injuries and surroundings fit perfectly with it. Great jobm trekfan!

I wasn't expecting that at all. Nice take on this story. Totally wasn't expected. I honestly thought it was one of the crew members. Good work. Thanks for sharing.

trekfan this was really well done. I love these types of takes on things but they are not always so successful. You've done a great job here and the slow reveal was enough to start a person puzzling what - who - was dying here - the climax and culmination of the piece was a really soaring moment of win despite the tragedy and deathly end. Really well done.

HOLY COW!!!
That was absolutely amazing! From the start I was expecting...someONE else. I expected this person to be dying maybe, or maybe even assimilated.
I was not expecting it to be her. That was an incredible surprise as the character started sounding less and less human...and that final line. Wow...
I love this. Thank you so very much. You did an incredible honor to the Rafale. Thank you thank you thank you!

The ship as living entity type of tale is always fascinating to me, it's a sort of anthropomorphism turned sideways. And it is especially difficult to see the ship mourning its lost people. Well done, with a particularly great ending.
