Simply effective. A wonderous loving last line but even the opening lines very acutely depict the empty, lonely husk and shell of the vessel that was a starship become a trap, watched from a planet as it trailed into destruction. Near poetic.

Man, that hurt when I saw it in the theater, and hurt again when reading this. In just a few words, you were able to capture the essence, and the tragic horror of that moment. Well done!
